Peace and Security Council Report No 24

In edition number 24 of the Peace and Security Council Report, the Lord`s Resistance Army (LRA) comes under the spotlight. Despite its Ugandan origins in the mid ‘eighties the LRA is today a more serious security threat to the DRC, CAR and southern Sudan.

Somalia and Swaziland are examined in the country analysis, proposing options the African Union Peace and Security Council could consider to ensure more stability in these countries.

In the PSC Retrospective, the relations between the AUPSC and the UNSC is discussed, giving insight into the current dynamic between these vitally important security bodies.
