The 27th African Union (AU) summit concluded this week on a cautiously optimistic note. Although urgent problems like the conflicts in South Sudan and Burundi remain, leaders seemed confident that the AU’s responses could turn things around.

The next View on Africa briefing will be presented by ISS researchers who were in Kigali during the summit. They will discuss the outcomes and their impact for the AU and Africa.
