Charting Africa’s blue future: youth inclusion as a catalyst for peace and development

Empowering Africa’s vast youth population in the blue economy can help the continent achieve economic stability and development.

The success of Africa’s blue economy initiatives depends on the extent to which they integrate youth – their involvement is essential for sustainable development. The youth, peace and security agenda is crucial in guiding this integration. It provides a useful framework for targeted policies and capacity building to empower youth as key contributors to maritime economic growth and environmental sustainability.
