ACPST course: Governance and human security 2017
This training course will provide practical tools for state and non-state actors to strengthen democratic governance.
Date: 2017-01-09 to 2017-01-20
Time: 09:00 to 17:00
Venue: Nairobi, Kenya
For Africa to realise its full potential, there are no shortcuts. Providing basic human rights is at the heart of achieving sustainable development. If Africa is to achieve its development goals as envisaged by African Agenda 2063 and the Global 2030 Agenda, a paradigm shift is needed that prioritises democratic governance and human security. The ISS helps achieve this change by partnering with individuals and institutions to build knowledge and skills.
The main goal of this course is to provide state and non-state actors with the ability to address the structural root causes and triggers for the major threats to democratic governance.
