View on Africa: human trafficking vs migration?

With a focus on regulating migration, human trafficking has become less of a priority.

Human trafficking is often marginalised in global debates about migration. But according to the United Nations over 27 million people are currently victims of human trafficking. Almost half of these are in bonded labour, including hard labour and unpaid sex work.

This View on Africa is presented by Ottilia Anna Maunganidze, Head of Special Projects, ISS Pretoria. She will discuss why a global solution to human trafficking is vital and strategies to achieve this.
