Turning Africa’s vision into reality

What needs to be done to unleash Africa’s potential and ignite a growth revolution?

Africa has many plans for improving economic growth and development but few have translated into reality. Speakers at this seminar will explore the continent’s projected slow growth to 2040 and the solutions presented in Dr Jakkie Cilliers’ new book, Africa First!

The impact of COVID-19 on the likely current trajectory and how it could be changed will also be discussed, taking into account a range of interventions such as on demographics, health and basic infrastructure, education, agriculture, inequality and poverty, manufacturing, leapfrogging, trade, security and governance. The event will consider what is needed to help turn Africa’s fortunes around.
