Linking the AU’s peace, security and governance efforts

Speakers from the AU will discuss how to strengthen the role and synergies between AGA and APSA.

As part of its effort to tackle the continent’s challenges, the African Union (AU) has been strengthening the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) and African Governance Architecture (AGA). While both are considered important, there is still not enough collaboration between the two instruments.

At this seminar, high level speakers from the AU will discuss how to strengthen the role and synergies between AGA and APSA. The event provides an opportunity to share experiences and common challenges, and offer recommendations to the AU and African states on how AGA and APSA can work together in the interest of all Africans.
