Is violent extremism a threat for South Africa?

SA has complex links to violent extremism. New research examines the threat and potential responses.

Over the past year, several reports in South Africa have raised concerns about the growing threat of violent extremism in the country, prompting the need for further investigation.

This seminar will consider the results of a recent ISS study that assessed the threat. Speakers will discuss the reasons why some South Africans have shown an interest in extremist groups, and how the country should respond to the challenges.
