Impact of Gulf dynamics in the Horn of Africa

This closed seminar will discuss Gulf influence in the Horn and implications for Ethiopia.

This closed seminar, co-hosted with the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to better understand the role that Gulf states are playing in the Horn of Africa, and the opportunities and challenges this presents for Ethiopia. This new dynamic has been complicated by divisions within the Gulf Cooperation Council, along with other developments across the Horn. The seminar will discuss these issues along with policy options for Ethiopia.
