Can the GNU deliver? Shaping South Africa's economic and development future

This seminar explores the effect that pro-growth policies could have on the country’s future.

South Africa’s Government of National Unity promises positive change, but what exactly is possible? Drawing on extensive modelling the seminar explores potential pathways for the country’s growth and development and the effect that pro-growth policies could have on our future.

The Institute for Security Studies’ African Futures team will present a long-term forecast of the impact of various sectoral policies on income, poverty, growth and economic size over the next two decades.
