Which long-term trends will have the most impact on Africa’s future? Are security developments more important than economics? Or will demographics or technology trump all other factors?
African Futures & Innovation at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) will debate its trajectories with those of the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre in the UK’s Ministry of Defence. Speakers will also assess whether Africa can meet key targets of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
The discussions will cover dimensions related to human development, security, economics, governance, technology and the role of the private sector with a time horizon to 2030 and beyond.
This event is co-hosted with the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre, UK Ministry of Defence.
