The African Security Review is a project of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and is made possible through the generous assistance of the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany, the Open Society Foundation for South Africa, the Anglo American and De Beers Chairman`s Fund and First National Bank. It aims to provide a forum for informed debate through the publication of research reports, policy papers and articles on security and related issues in sub-Saharan Africa. These reports may ultimately also be published in academic, professional and popular publications.
