The main items on the agenda of the African Union (AU) summit in Kigali this week are human rights, the rights of women, the AU Commission elections and how to fund peace operations.
This seminar provides an opportunity to discuss the outcomes and their impact for the AU, the continent and Africa’s relationship with international partners.
ISS researchers who were in Kigali for the summit will lead the discussion, focusing on the election results and the future of AU peace and security initiatives.
