What the 29th AU summit decisions mean for Africa

ISS researchers who were in Addis Ababa for the summit will discuss key outcomes.

Institutional reform, self-financing and security threats were the main issues discussed at the 29th African Union (AU) summit from 27 June to 4 July.

This seminar provides a platform to discuss and analyse the summit outcomes and their impact on the AU, the continent and Africa’s future relationship with international partners.

ISS researchers who were in Addis Ababa for the summit will lead the discussion, focusing on AU self-financing, reform and ongoing peace and security challenges.
