The Firearms Control Act is due to be amended next year. Ahead of this process, it is important to assess the impact of South Africa’s gun law to date and the proposed amendments to it.
Gun Free South Africa, together with the African Policing Civilian Oversight Forum (APCOF) and the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), is hosting a seminar to explore whether gun control is the solution to reducing violent crime in South Africa.
Members of parliament’s Police Portfolio Committee have been specifically invited to joint this debate.
Space for this event is limited, so please confirm your attendance.
