Outcomes of the 28th AU Summit

What do the African Union summit decisions mean for the AU and Africa as a whole?

This seminar provides a platform to discuss the outcomes and impact of the African Union’s (AU’s) recent summit – for the AU itself and Africa as a whole.

Major agenda items at the summit are elections for the AU Commission’s top posts, notably the chairperson, along with institutional reform and funding of the AU, and Morocco’s bid to re-join the AU. The question of Africa’s common position on international matters, including AU relations with the ICC, is also on the agenda.
