Making the EU strategy with Africa work for Africa

As the February EU–AU summit approaches, how can Europe and Africa improve their economic cooperation?

As the European Union (EU) and the African Union (AU) prepare to rejuvenate their cooperation, this seminar will discuss the findings of a new report published by the Hanns Seidel Foundation on how to improve economic growth and development. Beyond Aid – Making the EU strategy with Africa work for Africa sheds light on how the EU–Africa collaboration could be mutually beneficial. It also makes recommendations on supporting the creation of sustainable growth and jobs in Africa.

This event is co-hosted by the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF). Simultaneous English–German translation will be provided.
