Speaker: Dr William Rosenau
Dr Rosenau is a political scientist in the RAND Corporation`s Washington Office, where
he specializes in the study of political violence, intelligence, and military special
operations. He is also an adjunct professor in the Security Studies Program at
Georgetown University. From March 2001 until September 2002, he served as senior
policy advisor in the State Department`s counter-terrorism office.
He has also served as a special assistant to the assistant secretary of defense
for special operations and low-intensity conflict; as a professional staff member on the
Department of Defense Commission on Roles and Missions of the Armed Forces; as a
legislative assistant on the staff of a U.S. senator; and as a senior analyst at Science
Applications International Corporation. He has also worked as an analyst at the
National Security Program, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard
University, and as a teaching fellow in the Department of History, Harvard College.
