Invitation to Media Briefing on the Forthcoming AU Summit
Addis Ababa, 18 June 2008

The Direct Conflict Prevention Programme (DCP) of the Institute for Security Studies based in Addis Ababa is organizing a media briefing on the 11th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government that will be held in the first week of July 2008 at Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

The purpose of the briefing is to provide you critical input about the principal issues that will be raised during the 11th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government. Mr. Kenneth Mpyisi, the office director of the DCP, and Mr. Desire Yetsowou Assogbavi, the Pan Africa Senior Policy Analyst at OXFAM Great Britain, will share their views with you at this media briefing.

The briefing will take place at the office of the DCP (first flour, Ki-Ab Building, Alexander Pushkin Street) on Wednesday, June 18, 2008. It will begin at 16:00 hrs and will last for no longer than one hour.
