How does income support help prevent violence against children?

Case studies from Peru, Cambodia and DRC provide lessons on how income support can contribute to keeping children safe.

Evidence from across the world shows that economic support, such as microfinancing and cash transfers, are effective at reducing violence against children. This is one of the evidence-based strategies in INSPIRE: 7 Strategies to Prevent Violence Against Children. Interventions help to improve families’ financial security and stability, but how exactly do they keep children safe?

This webinar showcases good practices, challenges and lessons learned by Save the Children International when delivering cash and voucher assistance and livelihood assistance in Cambodia, Peru and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

This event is jointly hosted by the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), the INSPIRE Working Group and the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN).
