Ending African sea-blindness requires young ocean champions

Greater youth inclusivity in maritime policy making can deliver long-term strategies that are fit for purpose.

Africa’s maritime strategies remain blind to the potential that its vast young population offers. Young people can contribute to progressive and sustainable policies and the African Union and its member states need to embrace and empower these potential ocean champions. This seminar will discuss how to end 'youth-blindness' in the maritime sector in line with the aspirations and needs of Africa’s youth.
