In his brief remarks before the signing ceremony, the State Minister congratulated the Executive Director and ISS staff for the good work they are doing with the African Union on peace and security as well as other topical issues of interest to the continent. He also expressed the desire to continue working with stakeholders at national, regional and continental levels in the areas of conflict prevention, education, training and capacity building as manifested in the new African Centre for Peace and Security Training (ACPST), recently established as part of the ISS Addis Ababa office for the benefit of mid-career diplomats, officials and military officers from African Countries.
