ISS/NUPI SEMINAR: THE SECURITY SITUATION IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA:
AN OVERVIEW OF 2004

TfP-NUPI had the pleasure of hosting a two-day seminar
on the current African security situation on Monday 18 & Tuesday 19
October 2004. A group of African experts from the ISS gave an insightful
overview of conflict, peace, and security issues and trends in Sub-Saharan
Africa, as well as an introduction to more country-specific analysis and
specialised sessions on the human security situations in the Great Lakes
region, Zimbabwe, Angola, Sudan, and the like.
