The recent arrest of General Laurent Nkunda and the entry of Rwanda into the DRC have changed the military/political situation in Eastern DRC. The Congolese Government has started to demobilise the National Congress for the Defence of the People (CNDP) and joint Congolese / Rwandan operations are launched against the Forces Démocratiques et de Libération du Rwanda (FDLR).
