A new global deal for climate change is due to be agreed in Copenhagen this December at  the UN COP15. International negotiations have been going on since the UN Climate meeting in December 2007 under the auspices of the Bali Roadmap process. The Africa Group recently consolidated its common position in October 2009 at the second session of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) in Addis Ababa.
