The African Human Security Initiative (AHSI) extends its sincere appreciation to all those who were involved in the production of this report.
The report was made possible by the collaborative efforts of several contributors. The team of Zambian researchers who authored the key report were Dr Patrick Matibini, Dr Margaret Munalula, Dr Peter Lolojih, Ms Matrine Chulu, Mr Raphael Mungole and Dr Henry Musenge. Other individuals and institutions also played a key role in driving the initial consultative process. Among them are Dr Kojo Asiedu, Ms Juliet Tembo, the International Organisation for Migration, and the Crime and Justice Programme of the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria.
Dr Chandré Gould (CJP–ISS) reviewed the initial report. Mr Sean Jacobs and Dr Annie Barbara Chikwanha (AHSI–ISS) made invaluable contributions to the main review and editing. The AHSI network partners reviewed the final report.
Much appreciation is extended to the many Zambian officials in the criminal justice sector who participated in the interviews as well as the ordinary citizens who gave up hours of their time for focus group discussions or responding to questionnaires.
