Third Annual GIBSA Meeting
Pretoria, 2-3 April 2009
Â
Closed event - by invitation only
Â
The Stiftung Wissenshaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) in South Africa, the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) in India, Centro Brasileiro de Relações Internacionais (CEBRI) in Rio de Janeiro and the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) in Pretoria, are co-hosting the next informal GIBSA meeting (Germany, India, Brazil and South Africa) in Pretoria on 2 and 3 April 2009.
Â
This would be the third of the annual GIBSA meetings, the previous discussions being held in Berlin and Rio de Janeiro. Similar to the previous events, this is an informal opportunity for an exchange of frank views. Apart from brief introductory points to introduce topics, no formal papers are presented and the emphasis is on an exchange of views and mutual learning rather than on formal lectures and positions.
