The
United Nations invites you to attend an awareness-raising workshop on its work
and job opportunities.
As
a multilateral institution, the United Nations is strengthened through the
diversity of its staff. Africa is the continent with the largest number of
members within the UN; therefore it is beneficial for its citizens to be
informed about how to enter the United Nations system. This serves both the
needs of the continent and the global community.
Africans
seeking work opportunities within multilateral institutions such as the United
Nations often lack relevant information and an understanding of how the UN
system works. The discussion seeks to lessen these limitations and render
access to information on UN jobs more accessible and tangible.
Does
making a difference motivate you?
Are you selfless and driven to be a part of a bigger purpose
in the service of humanity?
Are
you willing to travel and work anywhere at a moment’s notice?
Do
you thrive in an environment that is truly international and multicultural,
which respects as well as promotes diversity?
The
United Nations wants people with integrity who are fair, impartial, honest as
well as dynamic proactive, flexible and responsive. Join the discussion with
speakers from the UN Head Quarters (New York) and United Nations Information
Centre (Pretoria)
Speakers:
- Victor
Kisob: Head of Staffing (United Nations)
- Lynn
Goldberg: Human Resources Officer (Outreach Unit)
- Terje
Eid-Hviding: UN Development Programme
