Presenters: Dr Tajelser Mahajoub, Secretary General of the National Council for Strategic Planning, Khartoum, Sudan

As time goes, developments in the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in 2005 between the Government of Sudan and the SPLM in South Sudan will be crucial in both the peace process in that region and in Sudan in general, including particularly in Darfur where a human tragedy has been unfolding since 2003.

As a member of the delegation of the Sudanese government to the talks that led to the signing of the CPA, Dr Mahajoub is in a unique position to unpack the complexities of the agreement and the challenges it faces as well as opportunities that it presents.
