ISS Seminar, Cape Town: The 2011 Ibrahim Index of African Governance

Global Integrity, in collaboration with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, the ISS and Idasa invites you to attend a public seminar on the 2011 Ibrahim Index of African Governance.

The Ibrahim Index, founded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation in 2007, is the most comprehensive collection of quantitative data providing an annual assessment of governance performance in every African country.  It ranks all African States according to their performance in four key categories:

●      Safety and Rule of Law

●      Participation and Human Rights

●      Sustainable Economic Opportunity

●      Human Development

Global Integrity, based in Cape Town and Washington DC, has embarked on a five-year partnership with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation to ensure African ownership of African governance data. The seminar brings together leading global and local governance experts to discuss the findings of the 2011 Index, with specific reference to South Africa.
