ISS Meeting: South African Civil Society Energy Caucus
Cape Towbn, 29 - 30 July 2009
ÂÂ
Closed event - by invitation only
ÂÂ
The Institute for Security Studies’ Corruption & Governance Programme is hosting the next SA Civil Society Energy Caucus Meeting on 29 & 30 July in Cape Town, Townhouse Hotel, 60 Corporation Street, Cape Town
ÂÂ
The theme is: The new nexus of power & accountability in South African energy. The timing of the event just after the recent announcement of the decoupling of the DME and five months ahead of the UN COP15 is not coincidental. We believe that civil society is now presented with an ideal opportunity to engage with energy governance issues with vigour and purpose in order to make a meaningful impact to local and international debates and actions.
