ISS @ the Cape Town Book Fair: A G8 for Africa: Can it kick-start the continent?

The Institute for Security Studies would like to invite you to the following seminar:

A G8 for Africa: Can it kick-start the continent?

Some believe we should sideline the African Union with its bureaucratic consensus model and that the powerful countries in Africa should create a club similar to G8 or G20. But will this mean the end of the pan-African dream?

Chair:

Chris Maroleng, African Specialist and Presenter of Africa 360 Degrees on e.tv

Speakers:

Dr Paul-Simon Handy, Programme Head, African Conflict Prevention Programme, Institute for Security Studies, Pretoria

Dr Tim Murithi, Head, Transitional Justice in Africa Programme, Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, Cape Town

No RSVP necessary. A ticket to the Cape Town Book Fair will give you entry to any of the seminars
