This closed roundtable is hosted by Amnesty International, The Center for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation, the Institute for Security Studies and the Kenya Human Rights Commission.

The objective of the Roundtable Meeting is to create a platform for an initial inquiry on strengthening the normative and institutional framework for addressing human rights violations committed in the context of conflicts in Africa. It will form the basis of a series of follow-up dialogues amongst stakeholders, and ultimately a comprehensive study on the subject.

The roundtable will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule.
