Hosted by the International Crime in Africa Programme (ICAP), ISS Pretoria office
As part of the International Crime in Africa Programme’s work to constructively shape the International Criminal Court (ICC) from the African perspective, ICAP is facilitating an small, informal discussion with officials from selected southern African countries that are States Parties to the ICC Rome Statute. The discussion aims to help prepare for the ICC Review Conference which will be held in Kampala this year from May 31 to June 11. The roundtable hopes to clarify the key issues for Africa at the Review Conference, and to begin a discussion about developing a southern African position on issues relating to international criminal justice and the ICC. Officials from Botswana, Lesotho, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia will be attending, along with other selected decision makers.
