South Africa will face a water crisis in the next 20 years even if the country uses less water and applies all of government’s existing plans. But there is hope.

To mark National Water Week, the ISS launched findings from South Africa’s only long-term forecast of national water supply and demand. The report explores available technologies that can help restore balance to the country’s water system.

This View on Africa is presented by Zachary Donnenfeld, Senior Researcher, ISS African Futures and Innovation. He will discuss solutions to South Africa’s water challenges.
