Namibia Tender Board Act No 16 of 1996

Tender Board of Namibia Act 16 of 1996 section 20 – In these regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall have the meaning so assigned to it and, unless the context otherwise indicates – “bona fide Namibian dealer or merchant” means any person who – (a) is the holder of a general dealer’s licence; (b) is the holder of a wholesaler’s licence; (c) is a company incorporated in Namibia in terms of the Companies Act, 1973 (Act No. 61 of 1973).

Namibia Diamond Act 13 of 1999

Diamond Act 13 of 1999 (GG 2205) brought into force on 1 April 2000 to provide for the establishment of a board to be known as the Diamond Board of Namibia; to define the objects and the powers, duties and functions of the said Board; to provide for the establishment of a fund to be known as the Diamond Board Fund; to provide for the establishment of a fund to be known as the Diamond Valuation Fund; to provide for the management and control of the said Funds; to provide for control measures in respect of the possession, the purchase and sale, the processing and the import and export of diamonds; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
